Get To Know Him

Samuel Moyer discovered his love of woodworking as a teenager at the George School, a Quaker academy in Pennsylvania known for having one of the best high school woodworking programs in the nation. He studied under the tutelage of furniture designer and woodworker Carter Sio.

Samuel later studied architecture at Brown and worked for the New Jersey Barn Company, where he began envisioning new life that could come from the reclaimed lumber of centuries-old barns, buildings, and structures.

What makes Samuel Moyer Furniture unique is the juxtaposition of employing fine woodworking techniques and classic joinery with embracing the imperfections of reclaimed wood and unexpected, nature-led, organic compositions.
